G 20 TOURNAMENT RULES


     For Winning: Score more points than opposition after playing of 2 inning of each team on white side.

 

1.     Each team consists of 7 players, 5 players play in the match and 2 players are reserved. Among 5, one player act as a captain.

2.     In toss, toss winning captain may choose White side or black side.

3.     White side is called Scoring side and black side is called scoring stopping side. white side captain has to handover players order of play to the match Arbitor before commencement of the match.

4.     Entire Match played on a single giraffe chess board by one after one.

5.     Match: 2 innings per side. Each team play 2 inning with white side and another 2 innings with black side based on toss alternatively. Each innings consists of 10 games. 

6.     Win: After playing 2 innings by both teams, whoever team scored more points is declared as winner of the match.

7.     White side team captain has to send players one after one to play their respective 10 games. If white side player win the game, he continue the next game to play. A white side player can play continuously any number of games, if he not out by black side players.

8.     Black side team captain has to send their players one after one to play on black side by checking white side player by following rotation.  Each black side player can play 2 games either win or lose with white side based on his rotation chance. One player should not play continuously two games.

9.     Scoring: If white side player win the game, then only his captures black side pieces he get points as follows. For Pawn 1 point, for Rook 2 points, for Knight 3 points, for Giraffe 4 points, for Bishop 5 points, for Queen 6 points.

10.  Scoring for illegal moves: If White side player makes illegal moves, for every one illegal move 1 minus point deducted from his score and if black side player makes illegal moves, for every one illegal move 1 point added to the white side player score. When white side win the game only he get all capture points or else no points for out.

11.  Time control for each game is 5minutes, without increment, In between each game 2 minutes game break and in between innings 10 min inning break should allowed to players.

12.  Good game Rule:  If 4 white side players are all out by 9 games, the left over 10th game can play the player who not-out earlier even after 5 games.

13. Golden game rule: After finishing two innings of each team  if scores are equal, then both captains go for one golden game, till the result. Captain may choose any one player to play golden game. Who score more is winner.

14. Time out: – Black side player lost the game by time out within the range of 15 seconds, when compare with the time of white side player, then the white side player get only points for his capture pieces only.

15. Penalty time out: If Black side player lost the game by time out with the range of more than 15 sec, when compare with the time of white side player, then the white side player get total 42 points for winning. Further, to this score, if any illegal move points are there, those points are add or deduct to the white side player score.

16. White side player can win the game by checkmate, stalemate, crowning, opponent Timeout, opponent Penalty timeout, Early Checkmate, Early stalemate, Early crowning.

17.  Scoring for Early Checkmate, Early stalemate, early crowning win: if white side player win the game so early that is by capturing 1 to 9 black pieces, then white side player get total 42 points irrespective of captured pieces. Further, to this score, if any illegal move points are there, those points are add or deduct to the white side player score.

18. No Resign:  Resign is not accepted in the match. Player has to continue the game or leave the clock for time out.

19. Follow on: After playing of 1st innings of both teams, second time played on white side team score difference is more than 200 points to the score of first time played team score, then second time played team has to play 2nd innings on white side continuously as follow on.
